The Bear in a Basket Easter Giveaway!
Last Easter I gave you THIS! Yeah, not much. I know.
So this Easter I want to celebrate two things… my first book’s edits being finished — YES MY BOOK IS COMPLETE — and the release of Cole Alpaugh’s The Bear in a Muddy Tutu.
What can you win? Thanks for asking.
Includes: A signed copy of Cole Alpaugh’s The Bear in a Muddy Tutu and a $50 Amazon gift card!
Also in theme with Cole’s book, I’ve added funnel cake mix, popcorn gummies, a HUGE gummy bear, cotton candy, old time taffy, butterfly toy, small bottle of Merlot, a shiny new writing pen, a t-shirt for Cole’s book… AND A CHOCOLATE BACON BAR!! (Why a chocolate bacon bar? I’ve come to realize that the internet is obsessed with bacon, it has no reference to Cole’s book.) **Open to US and Canada winners only. SORRY!**
HOW DO YOU WIN:
It’s a point system. Each point equals your name going in a hat. For every point, your name goes in again. In the end, I’ll draw the name of the winner and announce it here on my blog. So yes, more points equals better chances. JUST BE SURE TO USE THE SAME NAME AT EACH PLACE SO I KNOW YOU’RE THE SAME PERSON!
- 1 point for leaving a comment here.
- 2 points for tweeting about this giveaway WITH A LINK. (Be sure to @ReganWrites so I will see it, please.)
- 1 point for leaving a comment at any of these links to Cole’s reviews. (Four sites to comment on, 1 point for each.) Alex Adams /// Mercedes Yardley /// Damien Walters Grintalis /// LK Gardner-Griffie
- 4 points to anyone willing to put on a tutu and leave a link to the pic here.
Let the games begin…….. giveaway ends on Wednesday at Midnight Pacific.

Congratulations on finishing your edits!!
Okay, off to check out more about Cole’s book…

At the time I am writing this, there are no other comments on the post, so that means I get an extra point, right? =P
So many awesome things in that basket! I mean, come on: book, pen, t-shirt, gift card, giant gummy bear!! I don’t know what I want more! (Except I think it might be the book. And the gummy bear. And the pen… Okay, I want all of it.)
I’m even going to try and find myself a tutu.

Sounds like an interesting book with a title that makes you wonder. The sweet tooth in me probably will never actually finish those sweets in that basket, I’m pretty sure. But I can’t help but wonder (chocolate…. bacon… bar…?)

That looks like an absolutely amazing gift basket. You did a really good job putting it together!
I did try to doodle a picture of myself in a tutu, but it didn’t turn out. It probably wouldn’t have counted, but I thought it would have been funny to see. Ah well…

I’m sorry I’ve been so neglectful lately! A lot of craziness has been happening on my end, so I’ve been distracted!
First: HAPPY (almost) EASTER!
Second: I tweeted – http://twitter.com/#!/MadeleineRex/status/60855542599516160
Third: By the end of the weekend, I should be through chapter four in my first round of LEMONS rewrites. At some point (I have no idea when), I’d really love it if you and Miranda would take the time to read and comment!
Fourth: If there’s anyone on this earth (and there is, believe me) who really, REALLY wants to read the new Mallory, it’s me. So, uh, you should send it. ;D
Love you! We need to catch up sometime soon.

I just posted my 2 bits of praise on Cole’s Blog:
“So glad I stumbled upon your book. I feasted on it like a literary glutton who had gone without for too long. I slurped up the prose and let the imagery rattle around in my imagination and spark up images of my history.
Another delight of this novel? It is the first time that I have read a book that portrays how I feel about my own relationship/love for my father- that precious connection that is visceral as it is vital to who I shaped up to be today.”
Those comments were not motivated by the promise of chocolate bacon but rather a true appreciation for a wonderful novel.
Cheers from Canada
